We've been building complete and
fully loaded Strat® pickguard assemblies since we
started our business in 2009. Thousands of musicians
world-wide have employed our services to build them a
new pickguard assembly so they could achieve the tone
and character from their Strat® that they've been
searching for. We have some of the best pricing to
help with tight budgets in a tough economy. We
employ rigid quality control procedures throughout the
pickguard assembly build process to ensure that your
pickguard assembly will be received in perfect operating
order ready for a quick and easy install to get you
rocking your new tone in no time.
Each of our complete and fully
loaded Strat® pickguard assemblies are built to
order in our
shop, wired and soldered by hand and thoroughly tested
to ensure you receive an assembly that operates
perfectly. Prior to building your pickguard
assembly we test every single component to ensure they are within manufacturers rated
tolerances and that they operate correctly, then after
completion of an assembly we perform a thorough test on
the completed assembly to ensure correct function and
operation in all pickup selection modes as well as
volume and tone control adjustment range. These
testing procedures are documented, component values are
recorded, a report is generated and the assembly is then
certified as 100% operational. The testing and
certification report is then provided with each
pickguard assembly.
Installation instructions are included with each
pickguard assembly.
All of the pickguards we use in
our assemblies are genuine Fender® with the
exception of the Acrylic pickguards we manufacture in
our shop and
the unique pickguards offered with our Custom Quad 44-TPS pickguard assembly which come from Warmoth Guitars. All of the pickup covers, knobs
and switch tips are also genuine Fender® or Seymour
Duncan for their logo pickup covers. We use
high quality CTS 450G series 250k 10% tolerance
potentiometers, CRL selector switches and 225 series Orange Drop
polyester film tone capacitors. All interconnect
wire is 22 AWG UL1007 pre-tinned copper wire PVC
insulated. We use Kester #245 Sn63/Pb37 solder. We
DO NOT use
Fender packaged CTS potentiometers simply because they
are manufactured to a 25% tolerance which allows them to
have a wide range of actual DC resistance values, we've
seen them as low as 185K which will cause your tone to
suffer high end treble loss, Our CTS
450G series potentiometers are manufactured with a very
close adherence to the rated 250K DC resistance.
Our pickup selection choices
include those from Fender® and Seymour Duncan. We offer
all of the Fender® models of single coil pickups
available consisting of the Custom Shop Custom '54,
Custom Shop Custom '69, Custom Shop Fat '60s, Custom Shop Fat '50s, Custom
