IMPORTANT: If you require full tracking
and trace capabilities
you must select International Express Air as your method
of shipment. All other methods of international shipping
do not qualify for full shipping tracking status updates
or trace capabilities for delayed or lost parcels.
If you are placing an order from outside the United
States you really need to read and understand all of the
following shipping information. If there is anything you
don't understand please ask your questions before
ordering.
We offer 3 methods of
international shipping, all are couriered by the United
States Postal Service (USPS). We offer
1) International
Economy, 2) International Priority Air and
3) International Express
Air. Each of these shipping
methods are described in detail below. During the
checkout procedure you will be able to select an
available shipping method after you have entered in your
country, state (province) and postal code.
Your final international shipping
cost can only be determined once your order has been
packaged, weighed and prepared for shipment. The
following describes how we handle your initial shipping
charge at the time of checkout. Shipping cost
refers to our courier costs as well as packaging and handling costs.
All international orders shipping
addresses are analyzed by our staff and if we have any questions or
concerns we will email you and ask for clarification to
ensure a problem-free delivery, so don't disregard our
email if we're asking questions, this will only
cause an
order to be cancelled. Quite often we receive orders with incorrect addresses,
old addresses, missing elements of an address such as
missing apartment #, suite #, street #, the list goes on, we've
seen them all and they've all caused problems with
delivery... So don't be that person that causes your
own problems with delivery, make sure you enter your
shipping address correctly including every part of it
that is needed for delivery.
Make sure you provide
an English language shipping address (A-Z, 0-9), no
pictographic based languages such as Japanese or Korean (but
not limited to those), your
entire shipping address must be given to us in English. During checkout, when
entering your address if a particular field is not
applicable to your address, DO NOT enter in such things
as "N/A", "None", "Nil", or "--", all these things can
cause problems with delivery, if an address field is not
relevant to your shipping address, then leave it blank.
If your order contains any of our
custom manufactured, custom built or customized
merchandise then your entire order will ship once your
custom merchandise has been completed.
International orders cannot be
placed with an order grand total of over $750.00 USD,
this amount includes your shipping cost. If you are an
international customer placing an order from outside the
United States and your orders
grand total is $750.00 USD or more then you will need to
break it down into two separate orders of less than
$750.00 each. We cannot combine ship the separate
orders, they must ship independently of each other. Any
international order received in the amount of $750.00
USD or more will be cancelled, no exceptions
and our policy on customer caused order mistakes will
apply to the refund/cancellation, for complete details,
please be mindful of your orders grand total amount in
US dollars before submitting your order.
Unfortunately, there are some countries we
can no longer ship to due to repeated problems with
deliveries, this is an unfortunate side effect of the
lack of accountability and effectiveness of those
countries delivery couriers. COVID-19 is also
preventing us from shipping to certain countries. During checkout if you don't see
shipping method options for your country or you only see
"STORE PICKUP" at a cost of
$9,999,999.99, that
means we can not ship to your country and this will
prevent orders from being placed from countries we
are not able to ship to. The COVID-19 restrictions
will hopefully be resolved whenever this unfortunate
situation is under control.
We realize there is a lot of
information below and it can seem a bit complex, but we
want to explain each shipping method's pricing,
capabilities and limitations so you can select the most
appropriate shipping method for your needs. Please take
a minute to read through this entire page and if you
have any questions at all before placing your order,
please drop us an email. Never place an order based
on an assumption or not fully understanding each of your
shipping method options.

International
Economy
Not all countries qualify for
International Economy
method of shipping due to repeated problems with
delivery and these countries are required to ship via
USPS Priority Air or USPS Express Air International.
If you don't see the International Economy shipping
option at the time of checkout and your order cost is
under $200.00 then that means the economy method of
transport is not available to your country.
Orders from qualifying countries for purchases under $200.00
can select this low cost USPS First Class International
shipping
method.
Orders in the $0.01 - $24.99 range typically weigh
1-8 ounces
and are charged an initial shipping cost according to
this weight range in the chart below.
Orders in the $25.00 - $199.99 range typically weigh
9-32 ounces
and are charged an initial shipping cost according to
this weight range in the chart below.
If your order costs us more to ship than the amount you are
charged for shipping you will be requested to pay the
difference via a PayPal invoice based on its weight in
the rate chart below.
If your order costs less to ship than the amount you are
charged for shipping you will be issued a refund for the
excess shipping cost once your order is complete.
If your order weighs more than 4
pounds (64 ounces) it will have to ship via USPS
Priority International or USPS Express International
based on the International Priority Air and
International Express Air Shipping Rates table below and
you will be notified if your order is over 4 pounds in
weight. There is not a lower cost shipping than the 1-8
ounce rate. Even though an order may be very small and
lightweight, it will still fall within the 1-8 ounce
rate class.
We offer this low cost
International Economy
shipping method to keep small order shipping costs as
low as possible. The
International Economy
shipping
service can only be selected for merchandise that costs
less than $200.00. Typically we have excellent
results with this
shipping method, but it is not without limitations as described below and by
selecting the International Economy shipping
method you agree to accept these limitations. Our
International Economy method of shipping is couriered
under USPS's First Class International shipping service
and
most orders are delivered within 14-21 business days, but on
rare occasion can take up to 24 weeks or longer. Insurance, tracking and trace
capabilities are NOT
available with the International
Economy
shipping. A trace can NOT be
initiated to locate a delayed or
missing parcel. The
USPS (United
States Postal Service)
complies to these rules and service
limitations established by the
UPU (Universal
Postal Union). OverDrive Custom Guitar
Works can not be held responsible
for delayed or lost parcels, damaged parcel
contents or parcel contents that are missing due
to pilfering in transport. By selecting
International Economy as your method of shipping you agree
to all of the
terms, conditions and shipping service
limitations set forth previously for the
International Economy
shipping method, if you do not agree then you must
select
International Priority Air
or International Express Air
and consider shipping insurance.

Important
Information for Delivery of your International
Parcel
All international shipments
are transported by the United States Postal Service
(USPS) to the destination country where it is then
handed over to either the postal service of the
destination country or a contracted courier for
delivery. Additional handling fees
may be assessed by your countries final shipping
courier to
cover their service costs. You may be notified
by the delivery courier to pick up your parcel, do
not delay in following the instructions provided to
take possession of your parcel or it will be
returned to our facility and you will be responsible
for all fees associated with transport. Once
your parcel has arrived in your country you should
use your countries postal services web site for full
details on tracking and parcel pick up procedures.
The customs tag number you were provided with your
shipping confirmation should be entered in your
countries tracking feature, quite often it will
inform you of where your parcel may be picked up.
-
For your reference, below is
a list of our most common international
customers postal web sites. Some counties may be
experiencing suspensions of incoming shipments,
so review the above country list for most
current list of countries we are shipping to.
Purchases made from outside
the United States may be subject to additional costs
such as importation duties, taxes and customs
clearance fees which may be required at the time of
delivery and are the sole responsibility of the
buyer. OverDrive Custom Guitar Works does not set or
collect any of these additional costs, these are
assessed by your countries customs agency based on
the value of the merchandise you are importing. We
will not falsify the U.S. Customs document to
declare a value less than the actual value of the
merchandise. |
