Genuine Fender® '65
Vintage Stratocaster® eggshell, 3 ply, standard
11 hole pickguard for three single coil pickups. This
pickguard is what Fender® calls a '65 vintage and
all 11 mounting holes are in the same location
as a modern 11 hole Strat® pickguard. The main
difference is that the pickup and selector
switch mounting holes are counter-sunk and
require oval head Phillips mounting screws and
it has the small notch in the neck pocket
cut-out for truss rod adjustments.
This pickguard is
NOT shielded
with aluminum foil. Consider the '62 Strat full
coverage aluminum shielding plate but you will
need to modify it by drilling the one perimeter
pickguard mounting screw hole in the shielding
plate since it is for a 62 Strat 11 hole
mounting pattern, not this modern 11 hole
mounting pattern.
